We are planning to move to Vancouver. We were there once for a few days and spent a lot of time driving around the city to see different areas but it was so large we really still don't know what area to look in when we start looking for a rental. We need a house that has at the very least three bedrooms but four would be better. We want a safe neighborhood in a non-run down nicer part of the city. I am interested in any suburbs also. When we were there I liked North Vancouver the most of anything we saw but I think it costs more than other areas and was hoping not to have to spend top dollar. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are self employed and work at home so we don't have to worry about getting to a job.

Looking for a good laser hair removal center in town. I think most of them will have similar price ranges for their services, so I am looking for professionals who are certified and experienced. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Need My Wedding Dress Altered - Who can you recommend?
Submitted by crz777 on Sun, 08/09/2009 - 10:44pm. alteration | vancouver | wedding dressI recently bought a beautiful dress off Craig's List but it needs some adjustment. I need the Krinalyn (sp?) removed, the chest area tightened and to shorten the dress overall. Can you recommend any seamstress that can do this well and won't break that bank?
Event Planner's
Submitted by jenuyne on Mon, 02/23/2009 - 3:45pm. vancouverHello
My name is Jennifer and I'm planning to join this multifaceted industry of Event Planning, with plans to launch my own event planning company in the near future.
I was wondering if I might request some helpful advice from local event planners, considering your vast exposure and experience in the industry. To the best of your knowledge, how many weddings and/or private events would you estimate have/are being orchestrated by professional event planners in Vancouver BC per year?

Good Japanese Restaurant around Broadway and Granville
Submitted by ajacobs on Wed, 09/19/2007 - 1:28pm. broadway | japanese | restaurant | sushi | vancouverI've just moved here and I'm looking for a good Japanese restaurant by my house. I live right off Granville and Broadway and there's a baffling number of options. Rather than try them all, I'd like a recommendation. I know about Tojo's but I'm not interested in high-end fine dining, just a good affordable place for a weeknight dinner.
This is what I've noticed just within 8 blocks or so of my apartment:
Take
Opera Sushi
Shabusen
Shinju
Ohako
Ro
Hakata
SushiBoy
SushiBang
Aoki
Ichibankan
Kishu Mountain
Minato
Tomokazu
Many of these places have pretty middling reviews on dinehere.ca. I've heard good things about Opera. Any recommendations?

Contemporary Art Galleries in Vancouver
Submitted by jeang73 on Sun, 04/15/2007 - 10:20am. art gallery | art prints | contemporary artists | limited series | vancouverHi,
I live in France and work with a French artist, Françoise Nielly (http://www.francoise-nielly.com/), that lived about 10 years ago in Vancouver. I am looking for contemporary art galleries that might know her job and are interested in representing her work by selling limited series of art prints of hers.
Does anybody know famous contemporary art galleries in Vancouver ?
Thanks
